‘나무는 책이 되고 책은 다시 나무가 된다.’

사람 키를 넘어 홀로 서 있는 책장으로, 단순한 수납을 넘어 공간 속에서 뚜렷한 존재감을 만들어낸다. 나무를 닮은 구조는 비어 있을 때에는 한 그루의 나무를 떠올리게 하고, 책이 채워질수록 나뭇결이 드러나듯 변화한다. 나무로부터 만들어진 책은 무수한 종이의 결들로 책장을 채워나가고 그렇게 새로운 생명력을 품은 나무로 다시 태어난다. 가지 끝의 열매 같은 조형 요소는 산업적 재료로 구성된 미니멀한 구조에 자연의 감각과 생명력을 더한다. 책장은 책을 수납하는 기능과 더불어 자연을 닮은 형상을 통해 공간과 사람 사이에 감각적인 활기를 만들어내며, 일상 속에 잔잔한 울림을 남긴다.

Standing taller than a person, the bookshelf rises alone, asserting a presence that goes beyond simple storage. Its tree-like form evokes a solitary tree when empty, and as books fill the shelves, the grain-like patterns gradually emerge. Books, born from trees, layer the shelves with countless paper grains, and in doing so, are reborn as a tree carrying new life. The fruit-like sculptural elements at the ends of the branches add a sense of nature and vitality to the minimal structure crafted from industrial materials. Beyond its function as a bookshelf, Tree creates a subtle liveliness between space and people through its organic form, leaving a quiet resonance in everyday life.

나뭇가지에 앉은 새의 모습에서 영감을 얻은 긴 의자다. 간결한 선과 유기적인 곡선으로 이루어진 형태는 구조적 안정감 속에서도 자연스러운 흐름을 드러내며, 새가 가지에 잠시 머무는 순간을 연상시킨다. 새의 곡선에서 착안한 인체의 선은 롱셰이즈 구조로 이어지며, 차갑고 단단한 산업적 재료와 섬세한 목재의 조화는 감각적인 균형과 생명력을 형성한다. 작품은 단순한 가구의 기능을 넘어 일상의 풍경 속에 자연스럽게 스며들어 편안한 존재감을 지닌다.

Inspired by the image of a bird perched on a branch, this long chair combines clean lines with organic curves. Its form reveals a natural flow within a structurally stable frame, evoking the brief moment when a bird rests on a limb. The human body line, drawn from the bird’s curved silhouette, extends into a longue‐chaise structure, while the contrast between cool, industrial materials and delicate wood creates a balanced and lively sensibility. Beyond its practical function, the piece settles gently into everyday surroundings, carrying a calm and reassuring presence.

나에게 가장 많은 영감을 주는 책과 사유가 한 송이 꽃으로 공간에 피어난다. 꽃은 새하얀 타블로 같은 벽에 피어, 생생한 생명력을 공간에 불어넣는다. 꽃의 형상은 책을 꽂아 완성되며, 그렇게 나라는 사람을 보여주는 꽃이 된다.
The books and thoughts that inspire me most bloom into a single flower within the space. The flower unfolds against a white, tableau-like wall, infusing the room with vivid life. Its form is completed by the placement of books, becoming a flower that reveals something of who I am.
